The Clay Underground provides a place for exploring creativity through clay and the ceramic process, by promoting broad access to the ceramic arts.

This is a place for ceramists to work and exchange information and to offer work for sale.

Located in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, our clay studios provide local artists an affordable place to work in a supportive and exciting clay community. We give artists many opportunities to show their work during the year.

Classes and outreach programs are geared to all levels of interest and proficiency, with beginning and continuing ceramic class cycles offered every 8 weeks.
